About Us
Our Mission
Guided by the principle to “let your light shine,” we are committed to creating a space where performers don’t simply shine—they radiate. Through purposeful training and a values-driven foundation, our mission is to develop individuals who use their gifts to uplift others and make a meaningful impact in their communities. Our vision
Radiate Studio exists to develop strong, disciplined performers who lead with character, confidence, and compassion—both on and off the stage. Rooted in Christian values, our studio is built on the belief that every dancer has been uniquely created with purpose, and through movement, they have the opportunity to reflect that purpose to the world around them.
We provide high-quality training in dance, acrobatics, and tumbling within an environment that emphasizes technical excellence, personal growth, and integrity. Our instruction goes beyond choreography and skill development; we are intentional about shaping resilient, well-rounded individuals who understand the value of hard work, humility, and encouragement of others.
At Radiate, we foster a culture where dancers are challenged to grow while feeling supported, seen, and inspired. We believe in cultivating both strength and grace—equipping our students not only to perform at a high level, but to carry themselves with confidence and kindness in every area of life.
“You are the light of the world. A town build on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
- Matthew 5:14-16
Meet the founder
Dr. Josie Ova, PT, DPT Studio Owner
Growing up, the dance studio was my second home – my happy place. Dance has always been a major part of my life and has shaped me into the person I am today. It has taught me grace, humility, confidence, discipline, resilience, and the importance of hard work — lessons that extend far beyond the stage. I have been a dance instructor for 15 years, 6 years instructing acrobatics, pointe shoe fitting apprentice for 6 years, and 5 years as the head coach of several gymnastics performance teams, and every season has continued to deepen my passion for helping young athletes grow both inside and outside of the studio. In addition to my background in movement education, I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a primary focus on treating performance athletes. My goal is to combine strong technical training with safe movement practices so dancers can build confidence, strength, artistry, and longevity in their craft. I plan to continue expanding my education through Acrobatic Arts certification and ongoing professional development.Outside of the studio, I enjoy spending time outdoors through paddle boarding, hiking, and kayaking, and I also have a passion for photography and videography. Creativity and movement are woven into every part of my life, and I believe that passion carries into the environment we create within the studio.More than anything, I believe performing is about developing well-rounded human beings. While strong technique and performance skills are important, the true impact of performing comes from the life skills it builds along the way — confidence, perseverance, teamwork, respect, accountability, and self-expression. My mission is to create an environment where dancers feel challenged, supported, inspired, and empowered to become not only strong performers, but mentally, emotionally, and physically strong individuals long after their dance or tumbling journey ends.
Core Values
At Radiate Studio, our core values guide how we teach, lead, communicate, and serve our students, families, and community. These values shape the culture of our studio and help us fulfill our mission of developing strong, confident, and compassionate performers both on and off the stage.
-
Rooted in Christian values, we strive to treat others with the same love, grace, and compassion that Jesus shows us. We believe that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, created with unique gifts, talents, and a purpose. We seek to help each dancer grow not only in skill, but also in character, while shining their God-given light both inside and outside the studio.
-
We pursue excellence in training, performance, and character while remaining honest, humble, and respectful. Success is measured not only by achievements but by how we treat others.
-
We believe confidence is built through consistent effort, perseverance, and continued learning. Every student is encouraged to embrace challenges and celebrate progress and successes - big or small.
-
The physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our students comes before any skill, routine, or competition result. We prioritize proper progressions, exercise education, injury prevention, and healthy mental, physical, and emotional development at every stage of life.
-
We foster an environment where students, families, and instructors treat one another with kindness, professionalism, respect, and encouragement.
-
Growth requires commitment. We teach students to take responsibility for their attendance, preparation, effort, and attitude.
-
We believe every performer contributes to the success of the studio. We celebrate collaboration, support, and uplifting one another. We believe that giving back to the community that provides us with many opportunities is just as important as performing.
-
We encourage students to lead with empathy, humility, and understanding both inside and outside the studio.
-
Performing gives opportunities to create, inspire, and share our unique gifts with others.
-
We strive to use our talents, actions, and character to positively impact those around us and to shine brightly in our communities.
